NapoWriMo 2016 Day Twenty Eight: Reverse poem

Today I’d like to challenge you to write a poem that tells a story. But here’s the twist – the story should be told backwards. The first line should say what happened last, and work its way through the past until you get to the beginning.

I tripped and landed in dog poo

I couldn’t help chasing after you

You strutted past and caught my eye

Maybe out of my league but I had to try

You blew me away, you looked so hot

I wasn’t planning on getting off my yacht

The party was in full swing

Dressed only in bikinis and matching bling
